Joseph Johnson was a particularly fine clockmaker. Advertised for three journeymen in 1770. Known working dates 1760-1795. He sometimes had his 8 day dial engraving done in Manchester. A near identical 30 hour clock to this was once owned which showed that Joseph Johnson used the same cabinet maker.
