Break arch hood and case of finest mahogany.
Corinthian and brass capped pillars to hood with repeated pillars to rear of hood.
Long trunk door with wavy top and half quarter round pillars to side of trunk.
Cross banded door, hood and base panel.
Large shell inlay to trunk door and fan inlays to trunk door corners and base
panel corners.
Width at widest point 21.25" (Hood).
Ogee feet.
Dial :
Musical painted dial rolling moon 12" x 18.25" with well painted landscape
scene and 'Little Boy Blue' style figure in other scene with halo and bird in
hand.
Quarter ting - tang striking on two bells.
Subsidiary seconds dial and calendar mouth aperture.
Brass weights.
Matching steel hour and minute hands.
Black and gold pained spandrels.
Roman numerals.

There were five clock making Richardson's recorded in the area of Bubwith in Yorkshire
although three of them may be the same maker:
1 - Richardson, Bubwith circa 1750 (Christian name not known)
2 - John Richardson (I) Bubwith near Howden circa 1750 - died 1805.
3 - John Richardson (II) Bubwith circa 1750 - died 1817.
4 - John Richardson (III) Market Place Howden near Bubwith 1823 - 46 (succeeded
by James Richardson (IV) q.v.)
5 - John Richardson (IV) Market Place Howden near Bubwith 1844 - 58 (succeeded
by James Richardson (III) q.v.)
From case and dial style the clock is dated circa 1790 and therefore it was made
by one of the makers 1 to 3 above unless they are all the same man.
