James Hardy is listed as working in Aberdeen in late 19th century as a
clock and watchmaker.
Born in 1839 in Aberdeen his working addresses were;
14 Union Street in 1860.
41 Union Street in 1865.
53 Union Street by 1880.
In 1881 aged 42 he was unmarried living with his mother Jane Duncan, widow
and was employing five girls and a boy.
He traded as James Hardy & Son before 1895, wholesale clock& watchmakers.
