Case :
Flat top with arch, case of simple pleasing design and proportions with original strap iron trunk door hinges
Wonderful honey oak colour.
Integral turned pillars to hood with repeated quarter pillars to rear.
Long trunk door with square top.
Strike repeat cord to side of hood.
Plinth base with bracket feet.
Elm back board.
Width at widest point 20" (Hood).

Dial :
Brass dial with painted rolling moon against stars and night sky. The moons are silvered and have engraved faces engraved with eye lashes and frowns.
Engraved moon hemispheres and matted dial centre.
Arch dial 16.25" x 11.75" with maker's name engraved in arch.
Silvered minute chapter ring and seconds dial.
Recessed seconds dial with star burst engraving.
Salt box aperture calendar mouth.
Good quality Urn and Eagle style spandrels.
Matching steel hour, minute and second hands.
5 pillar movement.
Roman numerals.

Not listed in any of the reference books but case and dial fairly typical Gloucester style.
